Smarty Paws is now accepting clients via zoom for online training and limited amount of in home private clients a month. As well as for photoshoots.

Smarty Paws K9U is updating policies to help control cancellations and lesson package completion timeframes. I will only be offering specific appointment slots; 24-48 hr. cancellation policy will be strictly enforced. As well as the timeframe for completion and reschedules. Please review your enrollment form for details. I will no longer be able to tolerate consistent rescheduling and gaps in lessons, it’s of no benefit to the dogs nor to my business functionality.
Package changes include a 10% increase in price to accommodate the increase in gas and I have also downsized to only having 2 available packages to choose from:
4 Sessions now $350 (MUST be completed within 1.5 months, UNLESS agreed upon at enrollment)
6 Sessions now $465 (MUST be completed within 2 months, UNLESS agreed upon at enrollment)

Liability Information
You have enrolled in a service offered through our facility. We assume no responsibility in the results of your dog or other dogs in the program, training nor behavior before, during or after class. This includes ALL services offered here, both training or otherwise. While working with animals the risk of injury to yourself, those around you or your dog’s remains your responsibility. Including dog bites to people or animals, fights between animals and other complications that may arise. Therefore, to participate it is mandatory for you to agree:
- Not to hold our facility, instructors, or employees liable for any injuries suffered by you or your dog, including animal bites and complications thereof.
- To hold our facility harmless and indemnify our facility for all liability as a result of any injury described above.
- To hold our facility harmless, and to indemnify our facility for all liability as a result of the future behavior of you the participant, or any dog you may handle.
Rules:
You have enrolled for dog training sessions……Private and group sessions are scheduled by appointment. Therefore, it is necessary that you read and agree to the rules set forth below to allow me to fluently run sessions. These rules are designed to protect myself, clients, dogs, and surrounding parties.
- Any sessions agreed to and scheduled out are required to be paid for upon enrollment and completed within a reasonable timeframe* from your start date relative to the number of sessions you have purchased and scheduled.
*IE packages: Unless otherwise agreed upon & noted, 4 are designed to be done once a week and should be
completed in no more than 1.5 months from the time of enrollment. 6 should be completed with 2
months
2.) Cancellations should be made 24 hrs. in advance, or you forfeit said lesson.
3.) Private lessons have a three-strike rule. Cancel or no show 3 times and you are
subject to forfeiture remaining lessons.
4.) We reserve the right to discontinue sessions at the trainer’s discretion if behaviors are
found to not be conducive to continued training for myself, clients, dogs, or other clients
involved directly or indirectly in training.
5.) IF you are enrolled in a group session, DO NOT allow your dogs to engage in play
while class is in session. 3 warnings and you will be dismissed from class.
6.) IF enrolled in group classes, ABSOLUTELY no on-leash greetings. 3 warnings and you will be dismissed from class
7.) Rules are subject to be changed WITHOUT notice but upon changes existing customers
in good standing will be notified and an amended form will be gone over and signed
8.) Classes are non-refundable past our first class/session.
9.) Enrollment period comes with an expiration date …this means if you cancel lessons or sign up and
don’t follow up to reschedule or start, after 30 days from your last scheduled session/contact your
enrollment contract becomes voided, and no refund will be issued.
10.) Clean up after you pet indoors OR outdoors.
11.) All courses/lessons being held outdoors run the risk of cancelations, due to weather related
issues. I will attempt to cancel in advance, but pop-up storms happen frequently and may affect our
sessions. Please be prepared for this. This does not reflect on the cancelation policy whether the
cancelation was made by myself or you
12.) Private lessons include a confirmation text (call or email upon request), please respond to your confirmation within 12 hrs of your scheduled session time. If your lesson is not confirmed, I WILL NOT show up and you will forfeit your session.
(I do understand sometimes texts, voicemails or emails do not get viewed or received, in the event you have not heard from me, send a text, or call to confirm. NOTE: I always send a second message on the morning of if I DO NOT receive confirmation)
13.) Minors MUST be accompanied by an adult parent for training sessions.

COVID -19 Policy Addition:
- I, Christen Cupler, owner and sole trainer of Smarty Paws K9 University LLC am fully vaccinated for Covid-19
- If you are exposed to someone with Covid-19, please alert me ASAP and we can place a 2 week hold on your sessions. I will do the same as well.

We do not guarantee training results. Dog Training is a team effort and requires the work of EVERYONE involved. Our trainer simply cannot train your dog in 1hr a week, results are based on what you put in both in and out of sessions. Practice several times a week (5-10 minute sessions at a time) and be consistent with training, rules and expectations and you will see results.
